AGV communication system has continuous and distributed.
The continuous communication system allows the AGV to use radio frequency methods at any time and at any position relative to the ground controller, or use wires buried in the guide path for inductive communication, such as radio and infrared laser communication methods.
At a predetermined location, such as an AGV robot docking station, a distributed communication system can provide communication between a specific AGV and the ground controller.
The distributed communication is generally achieved through inductive or optical methods. The disadvantage of distributed communication is that the AGV fails between the two communication points and will not be able to get in touch with the ground control station.
